A YEAR FOR CHANGEI love snowdrops, especially great carpets of them on a woodland floor. Living up to their folk name the 'Flower of Hope', they are an encouragement that spring is on its way—even on cold, dark days. Interestingly, native to alpine regions, they are also known as 'snow piercers' as they have a special protective leaf at the top of the stem to help them push their way through the snow. Apparently this beautiful, fragile looking plant was designed to be an overcomer! So it is with us... ...in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
