‘Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts
as you did in the rebellion,
during the time of testing in the wilderness,
where your ancestors tested and tried me,
though for forty years they saw what I did.
That is why I was angry with that generation;
I said, “Their hearts are always going astray,
and they have not known my ways.”
So I declared on oath in my anger,
“They shall never enter my rest.”’
[Hebrews 3:7-11, Psalm 95:8-11]
Hmm - there's quite a price to pay for being negative - can I afford it?
in the good of the finished work of Christ,
in the now provision of the Father,
and with a confident expectation of good in the future.
and he prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God."
this means keeping a watch on what comes into our minds, & out of our mouths
Let's speak out our thanksgiving, but also....
consider buying a notebook to record how many blessings are showered on us every day.
Writing as well as speaking helps to fix things in our hearts & minds
